STEAM was commissioned by Veneto Strade Spa to perform the monitoring of noise and road traffic for updating data aimed at the drafting of noise mapping along road network (SR11-SR307-SR515) under its jurisdiction.
Sound measurements were made following directions contained in the decree of Ambient Ministry of 16 March 1998 and findings were made continuously for a period of one week in the normal circulation of vehicular traffic conditions.
For counting and classification of vehicles was used a traffic microwave detector with “Doppler radar sensor” bidirectional at the road section to be monitored.
Traffic flows monitoring was performed continuously for the duration of one week at the same time to the acquisition of noise levels.
