The intervention involved the complete planivolumetric reorganization of the Morelli hospital in Reggio Calabria through the construction of a new sanitary plate west of the existing buildings, connected to them through the natural extension of the already existing paths. The extension, therefore, looks like a compact building, in continuity with the existing one. The project involves the creation of a double-height hall, the construction of 4 new buildings placed above the sanitary plate that will house the new wards, the phased reorganization of the existing departments and a new plant to give life to a unitary organism, structured according to the principle of the intensity of care. Overall, the intervention, carried out entirely with BIM technology, covers a total area of 65,000.00 square meters for a total of 610.
