The idea behind the entire project was to divide the hospital complex into 4 blocks for different health and non-health services, while separating the reception functions (high and low care wards) from the areas dedicated to diagnosis and treatment. The 4 buildings (in addition to the technological center) are connected to each other by a connective which is divided into 3 levels. The block called A represents “the hospital for outpatients” as the structure that houses the spaces dedicated to Day Hospital and Day Surgery activities is now internationally defined and is divided into 3 levels. Block B, contiguous to block A, is divided into 4 levels, as is block C. The buildings D, E, F, G, H, I, making up the fourth block, accommodate High Care wards on two levels and Low Care. All 4 buildings are connected to each other by the Hall Main Street which represents the heart of the hospital and the pivot of the various internal paths that are articulated within the hospital, characterizing itself as a place of welcome and socialization, as well as a hub main flow of patients and visitors. Below are the data of the project: – Hospitalization – Total beds: 329 – General health services: 2,128 m2 – General non-sanitary services: 6,310 m2 – Diagnosis and treatment: 11,600 m2 – Hospitalization: 12,011 m2 – Total project area: 41,439 sq m
