Thanks to Steam’s advice, the new Moving Walkway of the Marco Polo Airport in Venice has been awarded LEED Gold certification. LEED certification, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, has been used so far in more than 140 countries around the world and defines new design criteria for the buildings we live in, work or study. LEED certification provides design for achieving high performance in key areas of human and environmental health such as: sustainable site development, water saving, energy efficiency, choice of materials and environmental quality within the enclosure, taking into account of the entire life cycle of the building.
